April Dining Club moved to Sat 11 April due to Easter

Due to moon phases causing inconvenient Easter positioning, the next dining club will be a week late, Sat 11th April. Presuming the moon doesn't shift unexpectedly, of course.

Boathouse now re-open

The Boathouse has now re-opened following Saturday's fire next door, so this week's events will be able to take place as normal. See you there!

Boathouse still closed following fire

Latest from our main venue the Boathouse is that following Saturday's fire at the adjoining Tivoli they are currently awaiting information from all the relevant safety officers before they can re-open. So at the moment all of our regular events at the Boathouse are TBC.  As soon as we have more information it will be posted here...

Boathouse still closed but should re-open on Monday

Latest news from the Boathouse following yesterday's fire next door is that they plan to re-open on Monday.  So no Quiz Night tonight, but meetings will resume as usual from Wednesday's Social and Dance Night :)

Major fire adjacent to our main venue

Apparently a large fire last night has devastated the Tivoli pub, the adjacent building to our regular meeting place of the Boathouse...  Cambridge News is reporting that fortunately no-one was in the building at the time, and that the Boathouse itself has been saved, but that firefighters are still takling the fire next door and Chesterton Road is currently closed.  The latest from the Boathouse is that they are currently unable to confirm whether or not they will be able to open for business tomorrow.  I will try to post more details here about how our meetings planned for the next few days could be affected as soon as the information becomes available.

March Dining Club - VENUE CHANGE

Unfortunately we've again been unable to get a booking at the venue we wanted to try...  So instead we'll be going to the Jolly Brewers in Milton for tomorrow's dining club (7th March).  Sorry folks!  (Will try to be more organised next time...)

The Jolly Brewers is nice though, if what we had there at Christmas is anything to go by.  If you'd like to come to this month's dining club and haven't told us yet please do let us know!
